Videcho vs VideoVerb: a VideoVerb alternative for iPhone
Both apps add reverb to the sound of a video on iPhone. VideoVerb is the established one: a subscription app with nine reverb presets, 22 languages, audio-only export and support for iOS 17.6. Videcho has no subscription, no account and no ads, and it adds keyframes, so effects sit only where you want them, plus a three-band EQ, voice styles, a volume boost up to 300% and 17 colour looks. If you need your own language, audio-only export or an older iPhone, VideoVerb is the better pick.
Videcho is on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and needs iOS 26 or later.

Keyframes
Add a keyframe where the sound should change and move the sliders. More reverb in the chorus, less in the verse, dry for a spoken part. It works for the sound and for the look. See the steps.
-
EQ and voice styles
Bass, Mid and Treble, and twelve voice styles that set warmth, compressor, tube saturation and doubler for you. Auto measures the clip and picks settings.
-
Volume to 300%
The Volume slider triples the level, and a limiter you switch on keeps the loud peaks from distorting. See the steps.
-
17 colour looks
VHS, Cassette, Warm Vinyl, Y2K, Noir and more, each with a strength dial, plus blur. See the steps.

No subscription, no account, no ads
Nothing to sign up for and nothing that renews. Your original clip is never changed: Videcho exports a new video.
VideoVerb has been on the App Store since March 2021 and has 343 ratings. It lists nine reverb presets, among them Cathedral, Plate, Outer Space and Underwater, a custom reverb and delay, audio-only export, an export at a lower file size, paid transcripts and 22 languages. It runs on iOS 17.6, so it runs on iPhones that cannot install iOS 26. Videcho is English only, needs iOS 26 and had one rating on 17 October 2026. If your iPhone is older or you need another language, use VideoVerb.
VideoVerb averages 4.25 stars from 343 ratings. Among its 44 written US reviews, which I read on 16 October 2026, 36 give one to three stars, and 17 of those mention billing or subscriptions. Written reviews lean negative in general, so read this as a hint about what bothers people and not as a verdict on the app. Videcho has no subscription, so billing is not something it can get wrong.

Is Videcho a good alternative to VideoVerb?
If you want reverb, echo and EQ on the sound of a video without a subscription, yes. Videcho has no subscription, no account and no ads, and it adds keyframes, voice styles, a volume boost up to 300% and 17 colour looks. If you need an interface in your own language, audio-only export or an iPhone that cannot run iOS 26, VideoVerb is the better fit.

How much does VideoVerb cost?
VideoVerb is a subscription app. Its in-app purchase list on the US App Store showed 4.99 USD a week, 4.99 USD a month and 29.99 USD a year with a trial on 17 October 2026, plus plans for unlimited exports. Its description text lists other plans: 4.99 USD a month, 9.99 USD for six months and 14.99 USD a year. Videcho has no subscription.
-
Does Videcho need a subscription or an account?
No. Videcho has no subscription, no in-app purchases, no account and no ads.
-
Can Videcho add reverb to only part of a video?
Yes, with keyframes. Play to the point where the sound should change, add a keyframe and change the settings. VideoVerb does not advertise this, and reviewers of VideoVerb ask for it. The only app I found that puts effects on part of a video is MicSwap Video Pro, a separate app from the developer of VideoVerb, listed at 99.99 USD on 16 October 2026.
-
Does Videcho export audio only?
No. Videcho exports a video. VideoVerb can export audio only.
-
Which app works on an older iPhone?
VideoVerb needs iOS 17.6 or later and Videcho needs iOS 26 or later, so VideoVerb runs on more iPhones.
-
Which app adds reverb to a video on iPhone?
Several do. VideoVerb is the best known. Videcho is another, and its steps are in the guide on adding reverb to a video. Pick by price model, iOS version, language and the extra features listed on this page.
Videcho adds reverb, echo, EQ and volume to the sound of a video on iPhone and iPad. It has no subscription and no account.
VideoVerb: its App Store page and Apple's public lookup data for it, read on 17 October 2026. The in-app purchase list and the description text of that page disagree on the plans, so the page names both. The review figures, and the note on MicSwap Video Pro, come from my own research of 16 October 2026 into the App Store pages and written US reviews of the apps in this niche. VideoVerb and MicSwap Video Pro are products of Future Moments LLC. This page is mine and not connected to that company. If something here is out of date, tell me and I will fix it.
